Job Description:

We are seeking vibrant Classroom Support Staff to join our secondary school network across Knowsley. As we hit the peak of the Summer Term 2026, your role is essential in guiding students through the home stretch. From navigating the pressures of the GCSE exam halls in Key Stage 4 to keeping Key Stage 3 pupils motivated and on track, this is your opportunity to build a legacy within Knowsley's educational community before the new academic year kicks off.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support learning by working with small groups or individuals to reinforce lesson objectives
  • Manage behaviour within the classroom to maintain a focused and positive environment
  • Prepare resources and set up equipment before lessons to ensure a smooth start
  • Safeguard pupils by following all school policies and child protection procedures
  • Assist the teacher with administrative tasks and the display of student work
  • Lead interventions for students requiring extra help with literacy or numeracy

Requirements:

  • Previous experience supporting children or young adults with additional needs (SEN) or in a coaching/educational capacity
  • Strong communication, empathy, patience, and the ability to simplify complex tasks into manageable steps
  • An enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or a willingness to apply for one)
