Job Description:

Classroom-based position delivering pre-planned lessons and supporting students across secondary schools in Horsham. Play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning by delivering lessons that have been set by teaching staff and supporting students to stay focused and engaged.

Job Responsibility:

  • Deliver pre-set lesson materials across a range of subjects
  • Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
  • Support students to remain focused, engaged, and productive
  • Provide clear instructions and ensure lesson continuity
  • Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures at all times
  • Report back to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Availability between 08:30 – 15:30, 2–5 days per week
  • Right to work in the UK

Nice to have:

  • Experience working with young people (e.g. youth work, coaching, tutoring, mentoring, sports coaching, or similar)
  • Strong communication and confident presence in group settings
  • Ability to manage behaviour and build positive relationships
  • A proactive, reliable, and adaptable approach
