Classroom Assistant role in an SEMH Specialist School for students aged 11–16. The school provides a calm, therapeutic environment within beautiful grounds and small, nurturing classes. The role involves working alongside skilled teachers to support young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.
Job Responsibility:
Supporting students in lessons, both individually and in small groups
Helping young people develop emotional regulation, confidence and independence
Building positive, trusting relationships with pupils
Assisting with learning activities, practical tasks and personalised interventions
Creating a calm, safe and structured environment
Encouraging engagement and celebrating every success—big or small
Requirements:
