Job Description:

Justteachers is recruiting a Classroom Assistant for a special needs school in Wellingborough. The school supports students with moderate learning difficulties and autism. This full-time position starts January 2026.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist the teacher with day-to-day classroom activities
  • Provide 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs
  • Foster independence in learning and social interactions
  • Help maintain classroom routines and ensure a safe, inclusive environment
  • Support with personal care as needed

Requirements:

  • Experience in a classroom or care setting (SEN experience is a plus)
  • Patient and reliable approach
  • Ability to build positive relationships with children
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
  • Two references from the last 2 years required
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK

Nice to have:

SEN experience
