Job Description:

The Avenue Primary School and Children’s Centre is looking for a dynamic Class Teacher to join its team on a part-time basis, starting September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ECT or an experienced teacher who is passionate about the success of every child and helping them be the best they can be.

Job Responsibility:

  • Plan and deliver lessons and sequences of lessons to the highest standard
  • Raise attainment and challenge students to achieve their best
  • Contribute to extra-curricular activities
  • Contribute positively to the team and across the wider school community

Requirements:

  • Committed to becoming a truly excellent teacher
  • Can teach a broad range of engaging and effective lessons that motivate, inspire and improve student attainment
  • Can plan and deliver lessons and sequences of lessons to the highest standard that ensure real learning takes place and students make superior progress
  • Is able to raise attainment and challenge students to achieve their best
  • Has a commitment to extra-curricular activities
  • Has good knowledge and awareness of current initiatives in the Primary curriculum
  • Is an effective team member who can contribute positively to our team and across the wider school community
  • Has a positive, cheerful outlook with a good sense of humour
  • Is able to forge good relationships with students and staff
  • Is able to work hard and remain calm under pressure
  • Has a desire to work within the Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) structure
