Primary School Teacher Specialism: EYFS – Y6 Location: Leeds AK Teaching are currently looking for primary school teachers to join us on a temporary basis, with the intention of securing permanent work. We work with several primary schools across Leeds and Bradford, that are looking to hire passionate, experienced teachers. As a supply teacher with AK Teaching, you must have obtained QTS, through either a PGCE or Primary Education Degree. You will be expected to teach children from EYFS – Upper KS2, however you can set your preference at interview.

Job Responsibility:

To create and maintain a stimulating, safe working environment for pupils
Where appropriate, to plan lessons following the national curriculum
Follow school safeguarding policies to ensure that the welfare of all pupils is promoted
Support the identification of Special Educational Needs and differentiate for these as needed.
Take part in ongoing professional development to ensure teaching and subject knowledge are up to date.
Carry out assessments, monitor and record progress.
Work collaboratively with support staff and other colleagues within school.
Follow school policy on classroom management.

Requirements:

QTS, PGCE or 3-year Primary Education Degree
DBS, or willingness to apply for one
Experience working with children

Qualified Teachers Status
Have a sound understanding of Primary Education
