Job Description

Primary School Teacher Specialism: EYFS – Y6 Location: Leeds AK Teaching are currently looking for primary school teachers to join us on a temporary basis, with the intention of securing permanent work. We work with several primary schools across Leeds and Bradford, that are looking to hire passionate, experienced teachers. As a supply teacher with AK Teaching, you must have obtained QTS, through either a PGCE or Primary Education Degree. You will be expected to teach children from EYFS – Upper KS2, however you can set your preference at interview.

Job Responsibility

  • To create and maintain a stimulating, safe working environment for pupils
  • Where appropriate, to plan lessons following the national curriculum
  • Follow school safeguarding policies to ensure that the welfare of all pupils is promoted
  • Support the identification of Special Educational Needs and differentiate for these as needed.
  • Take part in ongoing professional development to ensure teaching and subject knowledge are up to date.
  • Carry out assessments, monitor and record progress.
  • Work collaboratively with support staff and other colleagues within school.
  • Follow school policy on classroom management.

Requirements

  • QTS, PGCE or 3-year Primary Education Degree
  • DBS, or willingness to apply for one
  • Experience working with children
