Job Description:

Brook Street School is looking to appoint a dedicated, knowledgeable and effective key stage two teacher to work with our year four class in the first instance. We are looking for somebody with strong subject knowledge and pedagogy, who can foster excellent classroom relationships and promote a love of learning. You will also be skillful in adapting your teaching to meet the needs of different learners and using formative and summative assessment to secure good outcomes.

Requirements:

  • A strong, effective and engaging classroom practitioner
  • Have a proven record of securing good outcomes for pupils
  • Able to inspire and motivate both the children and adults you work with
  • Dedicated to the well-being of all the children at the school
  • Committed to developing and enhancing their own professional practice
  • Able to contribute towards the school’s development and the development of colleagues
  • Creative and flexible in their teaching to meet the needs of all pupils
  • Able to secure excellent learning behaviours and independence for all learners
  • Able to foster strong relationships with parents, governors, colleagues and other professionals
  • Willing to play a full and active role in the wider life of the school
  • Able to lead an area of the curriculum
