Job Responsibility:

  • Operate highway tractor trailer combinations as well as the roll off truck pup trailer combinations
  • Operate lugger, roll off, frontload and flat deck truck with Moffett as required
  • Operate truck mounted hydraulic hoisting devices
  • Complete multiple short trips per day with frequent loading and unloading while safely maneuvering vehicles in congested areas
  • Other duties as assigned that would fulfill the mandate of complete customer service

Requirements:

  • A Valid Class One (1) license or a Valid Class Three (3) license with Airbrake endorsement is required with a clean driver's abstract
  • Minimum of three (3) years of commercial driving experience is required
  • Must be eligible to acquire access to all Acden client sites as required by the position
  • Must have experience with manual transmissions
  • Ability to log Hours of Service as they pertain to the Province of Alberta’s Drivers Hours of Service Regulations
  • Must be able to pass the physical demands that are set forth to perform the duties of a Class 1/3 Operator which may include but not limited to bending, twisting, standing, walking, sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift, carry and push/pull heavy objects.

  • Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) experience is an asset
  • Site experience is considered an asset
  • Load Securement experience in accordance with Alberta Load Securement practices is a strong asset to the position

  • Prepares all required shipping documents via Tracker Lite/CMOS, assigns Transportation Control Numbers, produces labels, issues truck manifest for general/hazardous cargo, Maintains Manifest logs, etc
  • Accurately inputs Transportation Accounting Codes, consignor and consignee codes and other essential transportation data into the Cargo Movement and Operations System (CMOS) and/or Global Acquisition and Transportation Execution System (GATES)
  • Prepare and/or accept Shipping Documents for container movements from Sea Port of Embarkation to Sea Port of Debarkation, and local movements
