Job Description

Class 2 Removals Driver is required to transport household goods to one or two locations per day. This is a highly physical, hands-on role where driving a class 2 vwhicle, while the remainder involves heavy lifting, packing and wrapping of fragile items preparing for delivery.

Job Responsibility

Driving: Safely operate and navigate a Class 2 HGV to and from domestic and commercial job sites, adhering to all traffic laws
Loading & Unloading: Physically lift, carry, and load heavy furniture or bulky goods in and out of the vehicle
Packing & Preparation: Assist with wrapping, packing, and boxing fragile or household items
Furniture Handling: Dismantle and reassemble beds, wardrobes, and other large furniture items on-site
Compliance & Safety: Perform daily walk-around checks, secure loads safely, complete paperwork, and strictly follow driver tachograph rules
Customer Service: Act as the face of the company, communicating arrival times and handling client concerns politely and professionally

Requirements

Valid UK Category C (Class 2) Driving Licence
Valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
Valid digital tachograph card
High level of physical fitness and stamina to endure heavy manual handling over long shifts
Previous experience in the removals, logistics, or delivery sector is highly advantageous
