Job Description

HGV Class 2 Driver needed in Gloucester, Pay: £14.50 per hour (PAYE), Starts from 04:00 to 10:00, Ongoing and Temporary shifts to help delivery summer events, free onsite parking. We’re recruiting for a reliable and professional HGV Class 2 (Cat C) Driver to join a leading national distribution company based in Gloucester. Whether you’re newly qualified or experienced, this is a great opportunity to earn a competitive hourly rate and work with a respected logistics business offering consistent work and support.

Job Responsibility

  • Drive a curtain-side rigid vehicle for bulk deliveries and collections
  • Move units around the yard, ensuring they’re loaded correctly and ready for timely departures
  • Keep the yard tidy and organised
  • Deliver full pallets – mostly forklifted, with occasional use of tail lift or pallet truck
  • Ensure all delivery paperwork is completed accurately
  • Maintain a professional manner and deliver excellent customer service
  • Occasional weekend work may be available at higher rates

Requirements

  • Valid UK Class 2 (Cat C) driving licence
  • CPC and Digital Tachograph cards
  • Maximum of 9 penalty points (minor offences only)
  • Physically fit and comfortable with some light manual handling
  • Available for 04:00 to 10:00 starts, Monday to Friday some weekends
  • Positive, flexible, and professional attitude and happy to jump in a 7.5t vehicle for the same rate
