Job Description:

Class 1 drivers needed for ongoing, full-time roles with a transport and logistics company in Portbury near Bristol. Monday to Friday shifts (16:00, 17:00, or 18:00 starts) trunking to Yorkshire, Liverpool, or Northampton. Shifts are 10-12 hours long. Drivers are employed through Blue Arrow to work at the client on an ongoing basis. Only PAYE drivers accepted.

Job Responsibility:

  • Trunking to specified locations (Yorkshire, Liverpool, Northampton)
  • Helping to off load items as required
  • Adhering to Safe Systems of Work (SSOW), Health and Safety and relevant Driving laws and regulations
  • Performing vehicle checks and reporting any faults or defects
  • Following rules on fuel economy and harsh breaking
  • Liaising with the depot

Requirements:

  • Valid C+E category driving licence
  • CPC and Digital Tachograph cards
  • No more than 6 points on licence for minor offences (no MS90, IN10, DD or DR or similar endorsements)
  • Access to own transport
  • Willing to pass an assessment (questionnaire, eyesight check, vehicle check, actual drive, classroom training)
  • Previously worked in a 7.5tonne or Class 2 role (for newly qualified C+E drivers)
