Job Description:

As a Technical driver you will ensure our product is delivered safely and effectively to customer and company sites around the UK, whilst ensuring cover for our Shunting operation.

Job Responsibility:

  • Shunting cover
  • Locate trailers on loading bays
  • Set the fridge to the correct temperature
  • Check fuel levels on trailers
  • Organise the goods yard trailer parks
  • Liaising with Security, Despatch and Transport to ensure a timely turnaround of trailers on and off-loading bays
  • Completing walk around checks and ensuring the security of your load
  • Updating and maintaining your work record through digi card downloads and completion of driver envelopes
  • Reporting of defects in a timely manner
  • Upholding a professional company image
  • Maintaining good communication with internal and external teams

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1 years’ Class 1 experience
  • Current valid CPC and tacho cards
  • No more than 6 points (Including no IN or DR)
  • A good working knowledge of driver hours and regulations
  • Flexibility around start times in line with business needs
