Job Description

Based out of our terminal in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu (800 Dijon Street, Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, QC J3B 8G3). Local Position (Full-Time / Part-Time): Day shift, home every evening. USA Position (Full-Time / Part-Time): Several schedules available including Super 7, 14/7, Weekly. Ontario Position: Work cycle of 3 trips one week, 2 trips the following week.

Job Responsibility

Perform deliveries and pickups
Secure and properly fasten loads
Assist with loading and unloading when required
Conduct vehicle inspections and report any issues
Use a mobile device
Provide professional customer service
Perform trailer switches or movements (depending on the position)
Carry out any other related tasks as needed

Requirements

Valid Class 1 driver’s license
Good knowledge of the territory
Good physical endurance
Autonomy and strong organizational skills
Professional and safety-oriented attitude
Experience with flatbed and containers (asset)
T endorsement (asset)

Ensuring security of the load prior to transportation and checking bird welfare at all times
Delivering finished, refrigerated goods nationwide
Correctly completing all necessary paperwork associated with the work you have undertaken correctly (weighbridge slips, poultry transport certificates etc)
Maintaining good communication with the transport office with regards to issues or delays

£0.50 per hour bonus when transporting livestock
Unsociable hourly pay rate £1.25 for hours worked between 18:00 - 06:00 and all hours Saturday and Sunday
