We’re looking for an Claims Support Officer – Admin  who is motivated, skilled, and eager to contribute to meaningful projects.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide high quality administrative, customer and office services in order to contribute to the efficient and effective functioning of the department
  • Ensure Client Service Standards are upheld
  • Process documents, payments and schedules in accordance with agreed timelines and in compliance with relevant legislation
  • Register and administer claims within prescribed timeframes
  • Provide high standard of phone service for all incoming calls within workers compensation team
  • Ensure clients and injured employees experience high level customer service relating to Workers’ Compensation
  • Ensure all incoming mail is cleared and actioned daily and within Client Service Agreements and legislated timeframes
  • Minimise data integrity errors
  • Identify required refinements to claims administration procedures and support material that would contribute to continuous claims management improvements

Requirements

  • Typically, 2-4 years of relevant work experience in related field
  • Proven experience in the industry
  • A continuous learner that stays abreast with industry knowledge and technology
  • Compensation Legislation and self-insurance policies and business rules, regulations and guidelines relating to tasks within the Administration area
  • Strong understanding of all state standards of Practice and procedures
  • Strong understanding and Agent remuneration drivers as they related to administration function
  • Understanding of Self-insurance based systems including but not limited to Assure, AWS, Amazon connect
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Highly developed self-management and organisation skills
  • Continuous improvement and initiative – including flexibility and ability to adapt to change
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Customer service focus
  • Previous experience in data entry, administration is advantageous
  • Basic computer literacy
