Job Description:

The Claims Supervisor, under minimal guidance, oversees daily claims operations related to vehicle damage, customer incidents, subrogation, and insurance recovery within a high-volume rental car organization. This role leads a team of claims and subrogation specialists, ensures accurate and timely claim resolution, drives compliance with Nevada regulations and company policy, and partners closely with operations, fleet, legal, body shops, and insurance providers to minimize financial exposure and improve collection recovery outcomes. This is a hands-on leadership role balancing team coaching with complex claim handling, performance management, and process improvement.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversees daily claims operations related to vehicle damage, customer incidents, subrogation, and insurance recovery within a high-volume rental car organization
  • Leads a team of claims and subrogation specialists
  • Ensures accurate and timely claim resolution
  • Drives compliance with Nevada regulations and company policy
  • Partners closely with operations, fleet, legal, body shops, and insurance providers to minimize financial exposure and improve collection recovery outcomes
  • Balances team coaching with complex claim handling, performance management, and process improvement

Requirements:

  • Familiarity with Nevada insurance and liability regulations
  • Rental car or fleet industry experience
  • Subrogation and recovery background with strong skills in influence, persistence, and negotiation
  • High attention to detail with strong documentation, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Comfort working with technology platforms, including claims systems, portals, and spreadsheets, and partnering with other key departments on enhancements or issue resolution
  • Effective and detail oriented written and verbal English communication skills, including negotiation and influence with external parties and clear training and guidance for internal employees
  • Ability to perform as a leader, prioritize department needs and tasks in a deadline-driven environment, and collaborate across claims, legal, operations, fleet, finance, and technology teams
  • Demonstrated ability to remain calm and solution-focused in challenging situations
  • Proficiency with email, web-based applications, and basic computer skills
  • Reliable transportation to work location and reliable attendance based on work demands
