Job Description

Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented Claims Processing Specialist for a contract opportunity with one of our clients in Honolulu. This position will provide critical back-office support to help address a backlog of disability-related claims and assist with day-to-day claims administration.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide back-office support for the processing of disability-related claims
  • Review claim documentation for completeness and accuracy
  • Enter and update claim information in the appropriate systems
  • Verify eligibility requirements based on established guidelines
  • Assist with benefit calculation and payment processing support
  • Track and follow up on missing or outstanding documentation internally
  • Help reduce claims backlog by processing work efficiently and accurately
  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment with sensitive information
  • Support internal claims operations and administrative tasks as needed

Requirements

  • Associate degree required
  • bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Prior experience in insurance, claims processing, benefits administration, or related office support preferred
  • Strong data entry, organizational, and administrative skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage a high volume of work and meet deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Comfortable learning and working within internal systems and office technology
  • Flexible and dependable in a fast-paced work environment
