Job Description

Robert Half is partnering with a growing organization to identify an experienced Contract Paralegal to support a high‑volume capital recovery and claims process. This role focuses on reviewing damage claims, assessing liability, and supporting recovery and litigation efforts under attorney supervision.

Job Responsibility

  • Review damage and claims files, including photos, reports, and supporting documentation
  • Evaluate facts and assist with initial liability and fault assessments
  • Draft demand letters and professional correspondence to third parties
  • Support settlement negotiations under attorney direction
  • Track recoveries and assist with intake of settlement payments
  • Coordinate with outside counsel on escalated matters and litigation support
  • Assist with discovery responses, document production, and case tracking
  • Provide general legal operations support, including legal mail, invoices, and file management
  • Coordinate execution of legal documents and support regulatory or land-re

Requirements

  • Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience required
  • bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3+ years of paralegal experience, ideally in claims, insurance subrogation, litigation support, or recovery work
  • Experience reviewing and managing case files independently
  • Strong drafting and written communication skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Comfortable working with minimal supervision in a fast‑paced environment
  • Notary Public preferred (or willingness to obtain)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
