Requirements

Minimum 5 years in a claims-handling role
Strong expertise in property claims
motor and liability experience is a plus
Proven track record in managing complex claims to successful resolution
Familiarity with relevant insurance regulations and best practices
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Detail-oriented with solid organisational and documentation abilities
Commercial awareness and sound negotiation skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Self-motivated, accountable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team

Job Responsibility

Manage end-to-end claims, from notification to settlement
Set up claim files and gather all necessary documentation
Appoint and liaise with external experts (e.g.loss adjusters, engineers, solicitors)
Handle broker, policyholder, and third-party queries professionally
Maintain regular communication with stakeholders and negotiate fair settlements
Support the Departmental Manager on high-impact claims
Ensure accurate record-keeping within the internal claims system
Participate in internal/external meetings and represent the company when required
Assist other teams as necessary and act in the company’s best interest
Triage new claims and take appropriate early action

Requirements

An experienced claims handler, confident handling property and liability claims
Highly organised with the ability to prioritise work efficiently to Service Level Agreements whilst ensuring high attention to detail
Broad Experience of Property (Commercial and Domestic
Employer’s Liability and Public Liability claims is essential
Motor experience is preferred but not essential
Cert CII/CILA (or is prepared to work towards this qualification)
Proficient in Microsoft products (namely Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Proficient in Acturis Broker Platform (or is quick to adapt to new claims systems)

Job Responsibility

Efficiently handle all claims allocated to you and be responsible for a designated caseload handling claims from cradle to grave and liaising extensively with clients, insurers, claimants, policyholders, brokers and other experts
Refer claims that fall outside of personal authority levels to your line manager
