We’re recruiting full-time Rescue Claims colleagues to join our night team. This role is 37.5 hours per week and follows a rotating shift pattern of 3 nights one week, 4 nights the next, offering a great work–life balance. You’ll begin with 3 weeks of comprehensive training, delivered during daytime hours, to fully prepare you for success in the role. As a Claims Handler within Green Flag Rescue Night Operations, you’ll be the first point of contact for customers experiencing a vehicle breakdown. You’ll play a vital role in supporting customers during what can be a stressful time, ensuring they feel reassured and informed from the very first call.
Job Responsibility:
Handling inbound customer calls and acting as the first point of contact following a breakdown
Gathering accurate information to assess the situation, including location, vehicle details, and customer safety
Setting clear expectations and providing tailored guidance to customers
Coordinating and dispatching appropriate recovery assistance efficiently
Managing the initial stages of the breakdown claim through to resolution
Delivering a calm, empathetic, and professional service while working to performance targets
Requirements:
A customer‑focused mindset with a passion for delivering excellent service
Confidence handling calls in a fast‑paced, target‑driven environment
Strong communication skills with a clear and professional telephone manner
Ability to assess situations quickly and take appropriate action
Good IT skills and confidence using computer systems (Microsoft Outlook/Word beneficial)
Contact centre experience is beneficial but not essential
A full UK driving licence would be advantageous but is not required
