Claims Consultant Are you a detail-oriented professional with a background in banking, financial services, or portfolio management? Perhaps you are a Claims Assistant looking to step up into a role where you actually influence the outcome of a file. We are partnering with a market-leading Credit Hire specialist based in Hurstville to find an enthusiastic Claims Consultant. This is not just a processing role; it is an investigative, analytical position where you determine liability and drive the recovery process. The Opportunity Joining a high-energy team, you will manage a portfolio of motor vehicle claims to assess liability. You will be the investigator on the file—assessing evidence to determine who is at fault and ensuring the business can successfully recover costs. Salary: $65,000 - $70,000 + Super Full-time permanent opportunity Location: Hurstville, close to public transport and parking nearby Flexibility: Hybrid workflow (Work from home Mondays & Fridays once fully trained). Start Date: ASAP

Job Responsibility

  • Liability Assessment: Reviewing accident details and evidence to determine eligibility and at-fault status
  • Stakeholder Management: Liaising directly with insurers, repairers, and third parties to confirm liability and progress claims
  • Portfolio Management: Maintaining accurate, up-to-date claim files to ensure maximum recoverability
  • Strategic Thinking: Balancing customer care with the commercial reality of claim recovery

Requirements

  • A sharp eye for detail and the ability to read between the lines
  • Confidence in making decisions regarding eligibility and liability
  • Excellent communication skills for negotiating with insurers and third parties
  • A positive attitude and a desire to work in a diverse, multicultural team environment
