Job Description:

As a Claims Co-op, you’ll practice investigation, evaluation, and communication skills while making real impact. Work part-time during school and full-time over breaks. The Claims co-op students will work closely with a mentor to understand how claims are handled. Access to insurance course work including licensing and designations. Professional and Personal development opportunity.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist claims representatives with claim handling activity
  • Support internal and external customers with empathy and understanding
  • Document claim files with information provided
  • Bilingual support as applicable
  • Develop knowledge of claim handling best practices and jurisdictional requirements (participation in Basic Claims Learning)
  • Obtain required licensing as needed

Requirements:

  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree
  • Obtain a minimum GPA of 2.7
  • Graduating in Dec 2027- Dec 2028 preferred
  • Ability to work up to 20 hours a week during the academic year, and up to 40 hours a week during breaks
  • Ability to work in a team atmosphere
  • Sentry does not offer employment in this position to holders of F-1, J-1, and H-1 Visas for the purpose of obtaining practical experience
