Job Description:

Performs claim documentation review, verifies policy coverage, assesses claim validity, communicates with funeral homes, beneficiaries and family members, and ensures accurate and timely claims processing. Contributes to the efficient and accurate handling of final expense claims for reimbursement through knowledge of life claims processes and effective communication skills.

Job Responsibility:

  • Performs claim documentation review
  • Verifies policy coverage
  • Assesses claim validity
  • Communicates with funeral homes, beneficiaries and family members
  • Ensures accurate and timely claims processing
  • Handles and processes final expense claims submitted by beneficiaries
  • Determines the eligibility and coverage of benefits for each claim
  • Documents claim information in the company system
  • Conducts reviews and investigations of claims
  • Communicates with stakeholders to resolve discrepancies or issues
  • Determines if claims processing activities comply with regulatory requirements
  • Develops and implements regular, timely feedback
  • Analyzes claims data and generate reports
  • Conducts outbound calls on an as needed basis

Requirements:

  • Must report into Franklin, TN office Tuesday- Thursday
  • Experience in a high production environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (specifically Excel)
  • Ability to review and triage documents to the correct location
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, & handle multiple workloads/assignments
  • Ability to collaborate with team members to resolve any issues
  • HS Diploma

Nice to have:

1-2 years Experience in a final expense claims processing environment
