Reporting to the Claims Manager, you will work together with the claims team internationally to manage end-to-end insurance claim lifecycles for the company’s fleet of vessels.
Job Responsibility:
Coordinate with global insurers to report and manage specialized maritime and personal injury claims while ensuring all supporting documentation is meticulously collected
Oversee the progress of complex claims and arrange for technical surveyors to attend to incidents as required by organizational protocols
Partner with internal finance functions to ensure accurate financial recording of claims and the timely approval of related invoices
Act as a primary contact for maritime incidents, providing critical support and analytical statistics for insurance renewal reporting
Maintain up-to-date claim records and certificates in accordance with standardized corporate operating procedures and regulatory requirements
Requirements:
Degree or Diploma in Law, Maritime Studies, or a related field
At least 3 years of professional experience in handling insurance claims, preferably with a shipowner or P&I club
Strong negotiation skills with the ability to manage complex cases involving maritime or personal injury disputes
Exceptional communication abilities to liaise effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders
Highly organized professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple deadlines under pressure
