A leading energy and utilities organization is seeking a Claims Analyst I to join its Claims Management team. This role is ideal for someone with experience in subrogation, auto claims, property damage, or personal injury who thrives in an investigative and fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for analyzing claims, determining liability, and pursuing recovery while ensuring accuracy and compliance throughout the process.
Job Responsibility:
Investigate and analyze claims related to property damage, motor vehicle incidents, personal injury, and general liability
Determine liability and pursue recovery through subrogation efforts
Negotiate settlements and communicate with claimants, insurance carriers, and third parties
Review claims for accuracy, process payments, and ensure compliance with internal policies
Prepare detailed documentation, reports, and denial letters as needed
Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, attorneys, and external stakeholders
Manage claim setup, tracking, and follow-ups for additional information
Assist with evidence gathering and support court-related activities when required
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of experience in claims handling (subrogation, auto, property damage, bodily injury, or general liability)
Experience working with insurance carriers or self-insured organizations (e.g., Geico, State Farm, Farmers, Client, Progressive, or similar)
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex situations
Proven ability to negotiate and influence outcomes
Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple claims simultaneously
Nice to have:
Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Experience in multi-line claims and liability analysis
Exposure to claims litigation or court proceedings
