Job Responsibility

Learn to model civil and structural engineering projects in 3D using industry recognised software (Autodesk Revit, Civils3D, AutoCAD)
Learn to produce general arrangement and detailed drawings under the supervision of a Technician/Senior Technician
Work closely with other members of the design team, including engineers, to help deliver quality designs in line with company standards
Learn about design co-ordination, and how it relates to the civil and structural engineering
Develop an appreciation of the company Quality Assurance procedures, and learn how to check their own work prior to submission to their supervisor
Attend in-house software training courses and seminars

Extensive practical experience in Civil & Structural design, with proven expertise in structural steel and reinforced concrete detailing
Proven experience delivering projects within the industrial, energy and/or water sectors
Proficiency in industry – standard 2D and 3D design tools, including AutoCAD and Revit (essential) with experience of AVEVA E3D preferred
Good understanding of Eurocodes and relevant UK civil and structural design standards
