Job Description:

Due to continued business growth, we are currently recruiting a Civil Structural Engineer to join our Structural Inspection Department. This is a unique opportunity for a newly qualified or experienced Civil/Structural Engineer to work within the expeditious Geospatial industry. The successful applicant will be reporting to the Structural Inspection Department manager and will be based in Ireland.

Job Responsibility:

  • Performing bridge/structural inspections using a variety of technologies and access methods
  • Assisting Project Manager in coordinating inspection programmes and subcontractors
  • Undertaking waterway inspections and surveys using various boats & equipment
  • Opportunities for Rope Access bridge inspection (abseiling)
  • Perform underwater inspections using Remote Operated Vehicles (ROV)
  • Utilise Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods and equipment
  • Handling, processing and interpreting geospatial/inspection data
  • Preparing technical structural inspection reports.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering - BSc in Civil/Structural Engineering or 3+ years equivalent experience
  • Fundamental knowledge of the principles and practices of bridge types and loadings
  • Ability to perform detailed field and office inspection work
  • Good writing skills and proficiency in the English language
  • The right to work in Ireland
  • Flexibility to travel nationwide as required by our clients
  • Possess a full clean driving license.
