You will be responsible for managing 3-4 small teams of sub-contracted operatives who are responsible for providing new FTTH connections and maintenance work across South Wales. Given the scale of the contract, you’ll benefit from a well-defined sub-region which substantially reduces your need to travel. Through liaising with Project Managers and the internal Planning Team, you’ll coordinate work taking place over multiple sites with around 3-4 site visits per day. Here, you’ll ensure each site is safely set up, traffic is managed and that all ongoing work is recorded with photos and progress uploaded onto the company’s system.
Job Responsibility:
Ensuring that the teams and gangs under your supervision are working safely and efficiently
Recording variations and inputting photos of the site on your company laptop
Liaising with planning department to coordinate work
Delivering progress reports
Escalating any issues up to your project manager
Liaising with the public if necessary

SMSTS or SSTS
NRSWA Operators Card (Supervisors Card would be beneficial)
Experience Managing Teams
Experience with exposing buried services on roads/ highways
