Job Description

A multidisciplinary team of design professions with the shared goal of creating innovative solutions for today's most complex challenges is seeking a talented Civil Site Engineer for its Chantilly, VA office. Work in a collaborative setting with multidisciplinary professions where employee goals are valued as highly as company goals. As a Civil Site Engineer, you will work on a wide variety of high-profile and diverse projects for both public and private sector clients. Project types include mixed-use and transit-oriented developments, government facilities, residential communities, commercial and office developments, utilities and infrastructure projects, and data centers.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead and support civil engineering site development projects from concept through completion
  • Prepare detailed site plans, grading plans, stormwater management systems, erosion and sediment control plans, and utility designs
  • Perform site layout, roadway design, and infrastructure planning in compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations
  • Utilize Civil3D/AutoCAD to prepare engineering drawings and documentation
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely, cost-effective, and technically sound project delivery
  • Review and interpret technical reports, including geotechnical, environmental, and traffic studies
  • Provide mentorship to junior staff and support project management tasks as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • 4–10 years of civil site design and land development experience
  • Proficiency in Civil3D and AutoCAD
  • Strong knowledge of site planning, stormwater management, grading, and infrastructure design
  • Experience working with private sector clients and/or public sector/federal agencies
  • EIT or PE license required
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Highly motivated, enthusiastic, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
