Job Description:

As a Civil Planner & Scheduler at Wilmar Sugar & Renewables, you will play a key role in supporting the effective operation of our Cane Supply & Transport (CS&T) function. Working closely with Cane Rail Superintendents, Work Execution Officers, and Engineering Planners, you will help ensure that maintenance and project activities are effectively planned, scheduled, and executed across the network. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating maintenance planning and optimising schedules to support safe and efficient operations. You will also manage the scheduling and allocation of equipment and resources for a range of maintenance activities, helping teams deliver work efficiently while maintaining high operational standards. This position offers flexibility in location and can be based at one of our milling sites. Potential locations include Ingham, a welcoming town known for its strong Italian heritage and nearby wetlands; the Burdekin Region, recognised for its rich agricultural landscape and close-knit community; or Sarina, situated in the picturesque Whitsunday region with easy access to stunning beaches and the Great Barrier Reef. Job Responsibility:

  • Plan and schedule maintenance activities with CS&T Civil Execution teams and key stakeholders
  • Maintain clear communication to support efficient planning, execution, and reporting of work
  • Assist with scheduling for capital works, plant commissioning, and improvement projects
  • Coordinate with engineering and inventory teams to maintain accurate equipment and materials records
  • Monitor KPIs and support initiatives that improve equipment reliability and maintenance performance.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience using SAP PM for maintenance planning and execution
  • Strong understanding of cane railway operations, maintenance, and execution
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Experience in multi-discipline maintenance within fixed plant, mining, or similar operations
  • A trade qualification or sugar industry experience (highly regarded).
