Our dynamic growth and continued success has created a new opportunity for a Civil/Municipal Engineer/Project Manager in our Milwaukee office. This role is intended for a mid-level to emerging senior engineer who is ready to take primary responsibility for managing civil engineering projects, leading design teams, and working directly with clients and regulatory agencies. For the right candidate, this position offers the opportunity to be part of a successful established team with a track record of working on some of the most exciting projects throughout the Milwaukee and Southeast, WI areas. This position also offers the opportunity to work with our other offices throughout the Midwest and Southeast. This position also offers a path for growth into senior project management and expanded leadership and ownership responsibilities within the firm.
Job Responsibility:
Serve as project manager and technical lead for civil engineering projects, with responsibility for scope, schedule, budget, and quality
Establishing, guiding, and ensuring the technical directives of the project and that they are being met
Mentor and support the development of junior engineers and technical staff
Serve as a primary point of contact with clients and regulatory agencies
Participate in business development activities including proposal preparation, project interviews/presentations, and client management
Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced multi-discipline environment
Professional society involvement
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience delivering civil engineering projects such as site development, municipal roadway, and utility projects
Demonstrated experience managing projects, including coordinating multi-discipline teams and working directly with clients
Strong understanding of stormwater management regulations, grading and paving design, municipal and private utility design, and regulatory permitting processes
Professional Engineer (PE) License in Wisconsin or ability to obtain within 12 months
Proven communication skills and a track record of effective collaboration with clients, agencies, and internal teams
Success in business development planning, marketing activities, client development, presentation experience and proposal development
Proficient use or understanding of Autodesk Civil3D, hydrology and hydraulic software packages
Nice to have:
Master’s degree
Additional PE licenses in other Midwest states
