This role is ideal for an early-career attorney (1–3+ years of relevant experience) with an interest in litigation and courtroom work. The practice includes a steady volume of matters across housing court, bankruptcy court, and Minnesota district courts. Attorneys primarily handle eviction matters, along with broader housing law issues, including defense of state and federal fair housing claims, and are involved in all stages of litigation.
Job Responsibility:
Attend court hearings zoom and in person
Negotiate cases and prepare agreements and orders
Prepare and conduct discovery, mediations, and trials
Draft and argue motions
Communicate with clients
Collaborate and work closely with staff and other attorneys in the office
Requirements:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Licensed to practice law in Minnesota (or ability to obtain licensure promptly)
1 to 3 years of litigation experience required
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Excellent legal research and writing abilities
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Interest in housing law, trial work, and courtroom advocacy
