Job Description:

A reputable regional law firm specializing in civil litigation is currently seeking an experienced Civil Litigation Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil litigation, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage cases from inception through resolution.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage all phases of civil litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motions, trial preparation, and trial
  • Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and provide strategic legal advice to clients
  • Represent clients in court appearances, depositions, mediations, and arbitration proceedings
  • Collaborate with clients to develop litigation strategies tailored to their needs and objectives
  • Negotiate settlements and effectively advocate on behalf of clients
  • Maintain accurate and organized case files and ensure compliance with all legal and ethical standards

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Active bar membership in [relevant state]
  • 3-5 years of experience in civil litigation
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal civil procedure
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proven ability to handle multiple cases and deadlines effectively
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience in insurance defense, personal injury, product/premise/general liability defense
  • Trial experience or significant motion practice experience
