Job Description:

We are looking for a motivated Civil Litigation Associate to join a boutique legal firm in Los Angeles, California. This long-term contract position is ideal for candidates with 2–3 years of litigation experience, although strong entry-level applicants may also be considered. The role primarily involves handling toxic tort, consumer class action, and various civil litigation cases.

Job Responsibility:

  • Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery materials
  • Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies
  • Represent clients during depositions, hearings, and court proceedings
  • Collaborate with partners and other team members in a dynamic, team-oriented environment
  • Manage case files and ensure deadlines are met effectively
  • Provide support for toxic tort and consumer class action cases
  • Analyze case details and develop sound litigation strategies
  • Maintain consistent communication with clients to address their legal needs
  • Participate actively in client meetings and case discussions
  • Adapt to a fast-paced legal environment while maintaining high-quality work

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active membership with the state bar
  • 0–3 years of litigation experience, with a preference for toxic tort or consumer class action cases
  • Strong legal research and writing skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities
  • Ability to work in the office four days per week
  • Experience in conducting depositions and drafting motions
  • Familiarity with civil litigation processes and procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
