Job Description

We have a great opportunity to work in a hands-on role working with road maintenance crews in local councils in the Western suburbs of Melbourne. You will be an integral member of the team preforming essential road maintenance tasks.

Job Responsibility

  • Operating specialised plant and equipment used for line marking and bitumen sprays
  • General manual handling tasks (shovelling, raking, sweeping, and heavy lifting)
  • Prep road surfaces for asphalt and sealing
  • Making sure all work is completed safely, correctly, and to a high standard
  • Complete pre-start checks and ensure vehicle is maintained to safety standards
  • Communicate clearly with dispatch and site supervisors
  • Adhere to all site safety protocols, including PPE and hazard identification

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 months relevant civil labouring or road maintenance experience
  • Valid Driver License
  • Must hold a current White Card (Construction Induction Card)
  • Ability to perform physically demanding manual work.
