Job Responsibility:

  • Prepare design packages including quantity calculations, cost estimates, site-specific plans, and contract documents
  • Inspect and audit stormwater infrastructure, review water utility assets, and conduct stormwater and drinking water sampling to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Manage project scope, schedule, cost, change control, progress reporting, and issue resolution
  • prepare and review engineering scopes of work and budgets/estimates for proposals
  • Analyze and manage data, prepare technical reports, interpret civil construction design and as-built plans, and provide QA/QC reviews
  • Provide guidance and technical leadership to junior staff

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (U.S.-accredited)
  • 6+ years relevant experience
  • P.E. Certification in the State of Hawai’i (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and experience using Bluebeam Revu, Civil 3D, GIS
  • Ability to obtain U.S. Defense Contractor Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) credential

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of potable water systems and related regulations
  • Familiarity with green infrastructure/low-impact development design
  • Understanding of MS4 NPDES permit compliance
