Job Description:

Do you have experience in civil engineering and want to inspire the next generation of engineers? This role will be delivering high-quality teaching across programmes including T Levels and higher-level pathways. You’ll support learners to develop the technical knowledge, practical skills and behaviours needed for successful careers in the industry. Whether you’re already teaching or looking to move into education from industry, this is a great opportunity to make a real impact.

Job Responsibility:

  • Deliver engaging teaching across Civil Engineering programmes
  • Teach both theoretical and practical elements of the curriculum
  • Support learners to develop industry-relevant knowledge and skills
  • Assess student work and provide clear, constructive feedback
  • Monitor and track learner progress to support achievement
  • Contribute to high-quality teaching, learning and assessment
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and industry partners

Requirements:

  • A qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline (HNC/HND, degree or equivalent experience)
  • Industry experience in civil engineering or construction (desirable)
  • Confidence delivering to learners aged 16+
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • A teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
  • A proactive and adaptable approach
