We’re seeking a Civil Engineer to support infrastructure planning for new renewable energy developments, with a primary focus on wind projects. The position can be based in southwest Germany or offered in a remote / hybrid setup. Reporting to an Engineering Team Lead, you’ll work closely with internal project teams, external consultants, and turbine suppliers. You’ll take ownership of civil and structural planning elements, contributing directly to projects from early design through construction. This role offers broad project exposure, autonomy in technical decision-making, and regular site involvement across different development phases.
Job Responsibility:
Act as the civil engineering lead within multidisciplinary project teams
Coordinate and manage external engineering partners
Develop wind farm layouts (access roads, crane pads, cable routes, etc.) in collaboration with project managers, turbine suppliers, and service providers
Support planning and execution of wind farm construction with external contractors
Prepare documentation for permitting and building approvals
Produce cost estimates and construction budgets
Carry out quantity take-offs and prepare tender packages for earthworks, civil works, and cable installation
Provide civil engineering support during construction, including elements of project and site management
Participate in and lead site visits within Germany
Support civil works for solar parks and substations
Collaborate internationally with colleagues across Europe
Requirements:
Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
Basic experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D (or similar design tools)
Familiarity with GIS software is a plus
Ideally some exposure to wind energy site planning and turbine manufacturer requirements
Background in civil infrastructure and/or traffic area planning advantageous
Project management experience within renewables is beneficial
Recent graduates with strong motivation and interest in renewable energy are welcome to apply

Confident use of MS Office
Very good German and good English (spoken and written)
Nice to have:
