Civil Engineer

• Take clear accountability for civil reliability and performance outcomes, preventing and mitigating asset failures by ensuring the right work is delivered at the right time
• Apply field insight, data and engineering judgement to reduce repeat and systemic failures across Civil Assets
• Proactively identify, assess and manage asset condition and risk, including assets operating outside standard limits, translating trends into decisive engineering actions
• Lead and contribute to RCA, FMECA and deep‑dive Network Asset Management team, technical investigations, targeting the highest‑impact failure mechanisms and interventions
• Support emergency response and unplanned events, providing sound, timely engineering judgement to restore safe and reliable operations
• Influence renewals and capital program priorities, ensuring engineering effort and investment are aligned to risk, performance, commercial impact and long‑term sustainability

• Bachelor level of Engineering, specialising in Civil Engineering (essential)
• Extensive experience in a Civil Engineering Role
• Registered professional engineer under the Professional Engineer’s Act of Queensland (RPEQ), or ability to obtain registration within 6 months

Knowledge of Rail Track Infrastructure, Grinding, Lubrication and Wheel Rail Interface desirable
