Our client, a best-in-class construction/real estate company, is looking for several skilled Civil Engineers (all levels) to join their team in the Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania area. In this role, you will oversee a variety of engineering tasks, including designing, permitting, and supporting construction projects, while ensuring compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering design, project coordination, and excellent communication abilities to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Job Responsibility:
Prepare comprehensive construction documents, including land development approvals and re-approvals, for multiple sites annually
Utilize tools such as Civil 3D and Trimble Propeller to support engineering design efforts
Provide support to the Excavation Division by addressing technical inquiries, generating machine and rover files, and conducting surveys and drone flights
Secure necessary permits and approvals for land development, subdivision, and related projects
Plan and design infrastructure for future development sites, including water, gas, electric, and storm sewer systems
Design roadways, pad grading, and earthwork plans while ensuring material accounting and environmental compliance
Obtain and manage Highway Occupancy Permits and other general permits for stream and wetland crossings
Coordinate with other design divisions to ensure alignment with company standards, building codes, and client needs
Collaborate with current and prospective tenants to understand and meet their specific requirements
Oversee subconsultants and ensure timely delivery of their contributions to the overall project
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
Licensed Engineer certification
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D software
At least 5 years of experience in civil engineering design and project management
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and guide team members effectively
Familiarity with GIS tools and commercial construction projects
Adaptability to changing work environments and competing demands
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams and clients
