Job Description:

Our client, a best-in-class construction/real estate company, is looking for several skilled Civil Engineers (all levels) to join their team in the Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania area. In this role, you will oversee a variety of engineering tasks, including designing, permitting, and supporting construction projects, while ensuring compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering design, project coordination, and excellent communication abilities to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Job Responsibility:

  • Prepare comprehensive construction documents, including land development approvals and re-approvals, for multiple sites annually
  • Utilize tools such as Civil 3D and Trimble Propeller to support engineering design efforts
  • Provide support to the Excavation Division by addressing technical inquiries, generating machine and rover files, and conducting surveys and drone flights
  • Secure necessary permits and approvals for land development, subdivision, and related projects
  • Plan and design infrastructure for future development sites, including water, gas, electric, and storm sewer systems
  • Design roadways, pad grading, and earthwork plans while ensuring material accounting and environmental compliance
  • Obtain and manage Highway Occupancy Permits and other general permits for stream and wetland crossings
  • Coordinate with other design divisions to ensure alignment with company standards, building codes, and client needs
  • Collaborate with current and prospective tenants to understand and meet their specific requirements
  • Oversee subconsultants and ensure timely delivery of their contributions to the overall project

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • Licensed Engineer certification
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D software
  • At least 5 years of experience in civil engineering design and project management
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and guide team members effectively
  • Familiarity with GIS tools and commercial construction projects
  • Adaptability to changing work environments and competing demands
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams and clients
