Job Description

GRAEF has an exciting opportunity available for a dynamic Civil Engineer in our growing Green Bay, WI office. This opportunity offers exciting project challenges while managing design teams on single and multi-discipline projects. For the right candidate, this position also provides the potential to develop into a Practice Team Leader in the Madison office.

Job Responsibility

  • Project engineering and management including project oversight, setting priorities, and developing objectives, project financial management as well as hands-on involvement in the design process
  • Serving as a technical resource and mentor for site civil team members
  • Lead and participate in business development activities, including proposal preparation, project interviews/presentations, and client management
  • Develop new business opportunities by strengthening relationships with existing clients and creating new client connections
  • Represent the firm at industry events, professional associations, and community activities to enhance visibility and market presence
  • Professional society involvement

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience of design experience in site development, grading, drainage, storm water management, and permitting in Wisconsin
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License in Wisconsin
  • Good communication skills and a proven track record in successfully interacting with clients and internal team members

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree with an emphasis on hydraulics, hydrology or a related field of study
  • Abilities to mentor staff and successfully lead a project team
  • PE licenses in other Midwest states
