Job Description

Bentley Systems is seeking a talented individual to become a valued member of our successful Professional Services team as a Civil Consultant. As a Consultant, your primary responsibility will be to deliver advanced professional services resulting in the successful implementation of Bentley software in our user organizations. You will drive increased consumption of Bentley software by investing time and energy to create well trained and efficient users running Bentley software that is configured and optimized to their workflows and standards.

Job Responsibility

  • Deliver consulting, configuration, and training services on Bentley’s software applications to existing and new software users
  • Provide configuration services toward the migration of our software users to the latest versions of Bentley software
  • Perform software product training activities, project assessments, reviews, and audits
  • Collaborate internally to continually improve the quality of the product based on user input and industry best practices. Leverage internally established feedback channels
  • Serve as the primary liaison between company and software users during implementation phase and collaborate with Technical Support to ensure a smooth transition to business-as-usual support
  • Guide users to ensure that support issues are correctly routed via standard support channels in the first instance. Provide timely assistance, on request from Technical Support, and maintain close coordination with Technical Support following the closed loop process
  • Understanding project workflows and the needs of the users and delivering relevant services to enable the account to maximize their value from Bentley's products and solutions
  • Deliver benefit oriented, feature specific demonstrations that promote Bentley solutions for survey, site, road and rail design
  • Create learning content in the form of written documentation, videos and webinars
  • Connect with relevant stakeholders and users in the account during engagements and gather account-specific intelligence, feedback, and insights and share with the account team for incorporation into account strategy and plans
  • Contribute to the development of Statements of Work, incl. project scope, estimates, and timelines, as required, in collaboration with the wider team
  • Communicate consistently, clearly, and timely with account stakeholders and internal colleagues including your Manager and Project Manager and account teams
  • Foster a culture of “One Bentley” and collaborating with internal stakeholders in a manner that benefits our accounts
  • Delivery of training and consulting through virtual communication tools, such as Microsoft Teams is required
  • Travel to customer sites and software user conferences, approximately 25%
  • This is a full-time individual contributor role, which involves significant collaboration and coordination with peers, leadership, and other colleagues
  • Requires sitting or standing at will while performing work on a computer (or any other physical requirements)

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or closely related degree in the road or rail focus preferred or equivalent experience in the associated industry
  • 5+ years of experience in the associated industry is required
  • Experience using, configuring, and training on Bentley OpenRoads Designer or OpenRail Designer software applications is required
  • Experience with and knowledge of industry workflows and best practices
  • Fluency in English is essential
  • Excellent written and oral communication as well as strong presentation skills, are required
  • Ability to learn and effectively demonstrate, configure and consult on the Bentley OpenRoads Designer and OpenRail Designer and related software applications
  • A “continuous improvement” mindset, you seek to proactively problem-solve and propose solutions using data to drive decisions
