We are seeking a hands-on Civil Supervisor to join their team on a permanent contract. This is a rare opportunity to join a business that values loyalty, integrity, and the "human" side of construction.

Job Responsibility:

  • Coordinate crews, subcontractors, and plant requirements
  • Read plans and manage site diaries
  • Ensure projects hit milestones on time and on budget
  • Assist the crew when needed

Requirements:

  • Proven background in civil construction (drainage, pipelaying, earthworks, or roading)
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate crews, subcontractors, and plant requirements
  • Ability to read plans, manage site diaries, and ensure projects hit milestones on time and on budget
  • Strict commitment to OH&S best practices and environmental controls
  • Current White Card
  • Manual Driver’s Licence
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical/D&A screen
  • Significant experience in civil construction
  • Leadership experience

Nice to have:

  • Certificate III in Civil Construction would be preferred

  • He/she ensures the implementation of all the HSE procedures and standards for the areas or activities (subcontractors) of responsibilities
  • He/she directly participates to the HSE activities at site as defined for his position in the Site HSE plan and related procedures
  • To check that the said schedule is kept to, and to promote action to recover any delay
  • To check that the equipment and manpower employed by the Subcontractor are adequate and that the works performed by the Subcontractor conform to design documents, Safety regulations, and to the Quality level fixed by the same
  • Perform inspections and sign the necessary certificates as per Site Inspection Plans
  • To prepare the non-conformity register for each Subcontractor and co-ordinate nonconformity resolution
