Job Description

Progressive Ventures Construction is seeking experienced, career-minded Superintendents who are looking to grow with our company and continue advancing their careers. This position is suited for strong construction leaders with experience managing field crews, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining schedule, and delivering work safely and efficiently. Our work includes commercial, industrial, civil, concrete, building construction, and remote project work throughout Northwest BC and beyond. We are open to candidates with experience in either civil construction, building construction, or a combination of both.

Job Responsibility

  • Coordinate day-to-day site construction activities and supervise field personnel
  • Plan, organize, and direct crews, subcontractors, equipment, materials, and site logistics
  • Complete projects safely, on schedule, on budget, and in accordance with drawings, specifications, addenda, and approved changes
  • Supervise small, large, and complex construction projects effectively and efficiently
  • Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and project requirements
  • Coordinate with project managers, clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and field crews
  • Maintain a strong safety culture and ensure site compliance with company policies and WorkSafeBC requirements
  • Identify field issues early and help develop practical solutions
  • Support project reporting, daily records, quality control, and change tracking as required

Requirements

  • Construction supervision: 5+ years preferred
  • Commercial, industrial, civil, concrete, or building construction experience preferred, but all backgrounds welcome to apply
  • Journeyman trade certification, technical diploma, relevant bachelors/ post graduate or equivalent field experience is considered an asset
  • Computer competency and familiarity with Bluebeam Revu, Excel & Microsoft Projects are assets
