Job Description:

Olsson is seeking a Civil Construction Manager/Inspector to join our team, working on diverse construction projects throughout the Omaha and Lincoln metropolitan area. As a Construction Manager/Inspector, you would be responsible for complex construction projects, managing and overseeing the quality of construction at the project site.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee and manage the quality assurance program at the project site
  • Read and interpret plans and specifications at various stages of a project
  • Initiate actions needed to keep construction progress on schedule
  • Solve on-site problems and situations regarding construction of the project and design modifications
  • Work in all types of terrain and weather conditions on project sites in various stages of construction
  • Identify and avoid potential hazards for workers and the public in and around project sites
  • Act as a quality assurance manager representing the owner with regards to all construction activities
  • Track that special inspections and materials testing is being completed
  • Oversee RFIs and submittals
  • Attend project meetings
  • Provide verification overall that the quality documentation of the project is being completed per the owners' requirements

Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license and a good driving history
  • 3-5 years' experience performing construction materials testing, observation, or construction administration
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and codes
  • Schedule flexibility
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in a construction related field preferred but not required
  • American Concrete Institute (ACI) Field Grade 1, Nuclear Gauge Safety Training, and OSHA10 or OSHA30 preferred but not required
