Olsson is seeking a Civil Construction Manager/Inspector to join our team, working on diverse construction projects throughout the Omaha and Lincoln metropolitan area. As a Construction Manager/Inspector, you would be responsible for complex construction projects, managing and overseeing the quality of construction at the project site.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee and manage the quality assurance program at the project site
Read and interpret plans and specifications at various stages of a project
Initiate actions needed to keep construction progress on schedule
Solve on-site problems and situations regarding construction of the project and design modifications
Work in all types of terrain and weather conditions on project sites in various stages of construction
Identify and avoid potential hazards for workers and the public in and around project sites
Act as a quality assurance manager representing the owner with regards to all construction activities
Track that special inspections and materials testing is being completed
Oversee RFIs and submittals
Attend project meetings
Provide verification overall that the quality documentation of the project is being completed per the owners' requirements
Requirements:
Valid driver’s license and a good driving history
3-5 years' experience performing construction materials testing, observation, or construction administration
Strong attention to detail
Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and codes
Schedule flexibility
Associate or bachelor's degree in a construction related field preferred but not required
American Concrete Institute (ACI) Field Grade 1, Nuclear Gauge Safety Training, and OSHA10 or OSHA30 preferred but not required
