Job Description:

The goal of Bison’s Student Placements is to provide students with valuable work and life experience. Students are hired to work full time for the duration of their chosen placement term. We are currently recruiting an energetic, results-focused post-secondary student to join our team! This position offers an opportunity to gain experience and to learn about our Operations team, our Company and the transportation Industry. These positions often lead to full-time employment offers upon graduation. Our current opportunity is a full-time summer position (May-August), with potential for weekend and part-time hours during the school term. Flexible to start prior to May based on students availability.

Job Responsibility:

  • Accurately distributing, receiving and updating information
  • Project work
  • Exposure to the various aspects of our City Operations team
  • Gain experience in our Langley City Operations team as a Dispatcher

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary student in a Supply Chain, Management, or Business Administration degree
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and work effectively as a team player
  • Results orientation, ownership mindset, solutions outlook and integrity
  • Ability to quickly establish working relationships and effectively transition through assignments
  • Ability to thrive in a multi-task, deadline orientated, high volume and fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency with MS Office and the ability to learn complex programs
  • Desire to pursue continuous learning activities is also considered a strong asset
