Job Description

As the City Operations Manager for Belgium, you are the strategic architect of our growth and expansion. This is a high-impact, autonomous role designed for a "hands-on" strategist who can pivot between deep data analysis and ground-level execution. You will act as the primary bridge between local commercial and operations teams. Your mission is to ensure the operational roadmap is achieved by influencing stakeholders, taking smart risks on new innovations, and navigating the complex competitive landscape of the Belgian market. This role requires a blend of consulting rigor with a passion for "boots on the ground" operational execution.

Job Responsibility

  • Launch & Expansion Strategy: Define and execute a data-driven vision for Uber Eats Belgium
  • Synthesize interconnected KPIs—balancing growth and penetration with marketplace efficiency—to align local teams under a common goal
  • Local Connector & Stakeholder Management: Own the strategy and alignment across all key stakeholders
  • Drive the country strategy forward by influencing local operations and commercial teams to meet ambitious targets without direct reporting lines
  • Innovation & Smart Risks: Become an innovator at the core
  • Use daily local insights to identify opportunities, work with Strategic Finance to build business cases, secure buy-in, and execute proof-of-concepts (POCs)
  • Regional Bridge & Thought Leadership: Develop a forward-looking understanding of the competitive landscape, regulatory trends, and macroeconomic factors to proactively position Belgium for success and scale local playbooks regionally
  • Operational Excellence: Stay close to the SMB (Small and Medium Business) landscape while maintaining a heavy focus on operations, ensuring that timeliness, order quality, and reliability standards are met at scale

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of high-quality experience in Operations, Management Consulting, Investment Banking, or Strategy & Planning
  • A proven track record of operationalizing strategy and delivering measurable results in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly comfortable making difficult, data-backed decisions
  • Strong analytical skills with a high proficiency in SQL and Excel/Google Sheets to derive actionable insights and build scalable tools
  • A resourceful "doer" who is comfortable moving from high-level narrative building to the granular details of day-to-day operations
  • Fluency in English and either French or Dutch
