Job Description

To coordinate and oversee city route schedule, functions, and delivery specialists of "hub" store to "spoke" stores.

Job Responsibility

  • Serve as contact person for city delivery service
  • Receive orders from stores via phone or invoice, ensure parts are pulled and ready for delivery by scheduled time
  • Ensure accuracy of each order pulled prior to city delivery specialist picking up order for delivery
  • Maintain organized, clean city delivery area divided into areas/bins for each spoke store
  • Ensure hub delivery specialists are running on schedule and/or communicate any delays to stores remaining on route
  • Continually monitor hub system and routes for ways to increase efficiency, productivity, and/or reduce expenses
  • Communicate recommendations to store manager
  • Make sure all team members assigned to hub are clocking in and out according to company policy
  • Research any parts not delivered as scheduled and make any necessary billing adjustments
  • Work with store manager to ensure route is covered in the absence of regular city delivery specialist
  • Work with store manager and delivery specialist to ensure vehicles are well maintained and inspections are completed thoroughly and accurately
  • Ensure daily mileage is logged into asset management for all vehicles
  • Provide input to store manager with regard to delivery specialists’ performance in preparation for performance evaluations

Requirements

  • Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences
  • Good interpersonal communication skills

Nice to have

  • Familiar with automotive parts
  • Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle
  • Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
