Job Description:

Are you a passionate IT professional with deep expertise in virtualization technologies? You will take on the role of Application Manager for our new virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) platform. This is a key role in our strategy to provide a reliable, scalable, and secure remote work solution.

Job Responsibility:

  • Service Operation and Support: Manage, maintain, and optimize our Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environment, built on a VMware vSphere and Nvidia vGPU platform
  • Application Lifecycle Management: Take full accountability for the VDI platform lifecycle, from managing technology evolutions to overseeing the eventual retirement of components. Ensure all service documentation is up-to-date and manage the service setup in ServiceNow.
  • Project and Change Management: Support the deployment of new capabilities and use cases, such as providing GPU-accelerated virtual desktops for CAD/CAE applications (e.g., CATIA) and Linux environments. You will be responsible for integration testing.
  • User Enablement: Act as a technical advisor for key users and support teams
  • Performance and Security: Monitor and act on application performance and availability

Requirements:

  • University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Deep knowledge of Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops and preferably VMware vSphere (ESXi, vCenter)
  • Preferred certifications: Citrix Certified Professional – Virtualization (CCP-V)
  • Preferred certifications: VMware Certified Professional - Data Center Virtualization (VCP-DCV)
  • ITIL 4 Foundation
  • Several years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure and service management
  • Proficiency in managing both Windows and Linux (e.g., RHEL) virtualized OS
  • Solid understanding of supporting technologies including AD, SQL, networking, endpoint security
  • Highly collaborative mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken) is mandatory
