CSIS leads Citi's response during security incidents and crisis events, valuing employees who prioritize the well-being of colleagues and respond with urgency to a diverse range of incidents. This role focuses on program management rather than direct execution, overseeing and coordinating comprehensive security and safety programs for Citi businesses. The primary goal is to maintain a safe environment for clients and employees, protect company assets, and respond effectively to security incidents, thereby safeguarding Citi's integrity and reputation. This position requires a strategic approach to managing complex security programs across multiple countries or large geographies, ensuring alignment with Citi Security Policy and Standards.

  • Develop and implement strategies to mitigate travel-related security risks for all Citi employees and operations
  • Manage and coordinate the security and safety services in Citi's various businesses and locations, focusing on program oversight rather than day-to-day execution
  • Drive adherence to program processes, procedures, methods, and standards for program delivery
  • Direct the creation of multiple programs of work and manage their alignment to business goals
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets
  • Own and manage the CSIS Security Special Risks program, ensuring annual review and updates to address high-risk situations and emerging threats
  • Develop and maintain travel risk advisories and security protocols for employees traveling internationally and domestically, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and best practices
  • Implement and manage systems for reporting, tracking, and responding to travel security incidents and emergencies
  • Lead crisis management efforts related to travel security and people safety incidents, working with internal and external stakeholders

  • Own and manage the California Workplace Violence Program, ensuring full compliance with California Labor Code section 6401.9 and related regulations
  • Oversee the development and implementation of Workplace Violence Prevention Plans (WVPPs) for all applicable California facilities, including hazard assessments, training, and incident logging
  • Ensure that all security programs meet business requirements and local legal and regulatory requirements
  • Conduct regular reviews and audits of security programs to identify gaps and ensure timely remediation
  • Collaborate with Legal and Compliance teams to interpret and apply security-related laws, rules, and regulations across all programs
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with senior leadership, internal business partners, and external stakeholders, including law enforcement, emergency services, and industry associations
  • Provide clear and concise briefings and advice to senior management on ongoing major security matters
  • Represent CSIS in various forums, committees, and working groups related to travel security, people safety, and special risks
  • Facilitate active involvement of employees in the development and implementation of security programs
  • Manage budgets, display fiscal and budgetary discipline to meet expected spend patterns, achieve goals, and remain within defined budget parameters
  • Provide oversight in managing vendor contracts for the sub-cluster to ensure effectiveness and efficiency
  • Ensure that programs are appropriately staffed and resources are allocated effectively

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant qualifications and/or apprenticeships/vocational training programs
  • Professional security qualification or certification will be an advantage
