Job Description:

Technical Consultant - Cisco SD-WAN (Location : Flexible). FinXL is a leading Australian IT services and solutions company that partners with clients to deliver high-value ICT services. We are dedicated to building expert teams to tackle complex challenges in Enterprise Networking and Cloud Security. We are seeking a highly experienced Technical Consultant specializing in Cisco SD-WAN for an initial 6-month contract (starting January 2026). This pivotal role focuses on the design, deployment, and optimization of enterprise-grade network and security solutions for a major client.

Job Responsibility:

Participate in the design, implementation, and optimization of Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela and Catalyst) solutions, including integration with complex enterprise network and cloud environments
Apply advanced network security best practices in SD-WAN design, including segmentation, encryption, and alignment with security frameworks
Troubleshoot and resolve complex SD-WAN and network-related issues to ensure high network availability and performance
Follow structured change management processes to ensure network changes are planned, documented, and implemented with minimal risk
Prepare comprehensive technical documentation to support ongoing operations and knowledge transfer

Requirements:

Strong, practical experience with Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela and Catalyst), including deployment, configuration, and hybrid cloud integration
Solid understanding of routing, switching, IP protocols, WAN optimization, and network security best practices
Experience with network automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Python) for SD-WAN configuration and management
Cisco certifications such as CCNP Enterprise, Cisco SD-WAN Specialist, or equivalent practical experience
Able to clearly explain complex technical concepts and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Nice to have:

Support or participate in projects that integrate SD-WAN with Secure Service Edge (SSE) technologies (e.g., Palo Alto, Zscaler, Fortinet)
